Functional and Digital Systems for Local Authority
The systems that are manufactured and supplied, by Select Systems, have minimal software and is configured by two eight way programmable switches (No Menus), in fact there is only one chip that is programmable all other parts are standard off the shelf components, yet the system meets and exceeds most Municipal specifications.
On a Functional system there is a main Controller board and a minimal component PCB in every telephone handset.
The Digital system has the same main Controller board and Telephone PCB as a Functional system but has an additional Digital panel board and an Interface card per Controller, this makes installation simple and follow on maintenance easy to control.
All adjustable electronic functions are in the Controller making the telephone handset a very simple device and economical to replace in the event of tenant abuse.
By having only four types of circuit boards across the whole of the Functional and Digital range whatever the size of the system an engineer can easily complete a service call on the same day and not have to return to the office to order spares.
Using Functional Controllers as Digital Riser/Landing Controllers minimises the number of spares required across both systems and simplifies installation and maintenance. The only additional equipment required to convert a standard Digital system to a Deck/Landing Control system would be a functional panel and amplifier.
Also due to the flexibility of the system it is very easy to retro fit into existing systems that are obsolete or failing. The SelectLine Controller is supplied on a chassis plate for easy insertion into an existing case (i.e. Easycase).
