Milestones
1937 U.R.M.E.T. (Utilizzazione e Recupero Materiale Elettro-Telefonico) was established in Turin
1958 URMET enters the residential and tertiary communication sector and starts the production of door phones
1967 URMET is one of the first in the world to design a video door phone system
1981 URMET designs and markets the first fully automated system for managing credit card telephones
1987 URMET starts designing and marketing electronic POS (Point of Sales) payment systems
1996 URMET splits the Video Door Phone branch and the new Urmet Domus company is established

Aprimatic
Aprimatic is an international leader specialised in the production of automatic systems for gates, doors and windows. With a decade of experience in the domestic automation system and the sound backing of the Urmet Group, we are today the ideal interface for structuring building automation systems. We are based in Bologna. 

Urmet Engineering
At Urmet Engineering, we have top-level specific competence in Research & Development, design, engineering, industrialisation and systematic integration of high-security products and technologies. We develop video surveillance systems, detection and tracking systems, digital video recording and anti-terrorism solutions. Based in Turin. 

Simon Urmet
Simon and Urmet have formed a joint venture and a new, major company. Our objective is to consolidate a strong presence on the Italian wiring market in time by investing on the creation of innovative,reliable, stylish products marketed by the Urmet Domus sales network. We are based in Turin.

Specialised in the hotel and hospital automation sector, GLT makes and sells automatic room control systems, room presence and access management systems, climate control systems and lighting systems.
